Local council based inner Western Suburbs seeking a Senior Technical Officer to review engineering drawings

This well-known, diverse and established Municipality based in Melbourne's inner West, is currently seeking a Senior Technical Officer to review engineering drawings with a view to collate depth, diameter and offset for Council Storm water infrastructure.
Your new role
Working as a Senior Technical Officer, your day-to-day responsibilities will be:
- Assess applications for more complex Consents for Work in the Road Reserve including vehicle crossing
- Provide property services (stormwater points, flooding tec)
- Assess requests for new or additional public lighting, manage the maintenance of non-standard streetlights including approval of works and establishing audit trails and conduct operation audits.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have a tertiary qualification in Civil or Municipal Engineering as well as Land Surveying or design experience. You will also have experience in reading plans, investigating technical issues and customer service. Ideally, seeking someone with experience in utility and telecommunication providers, such as NBN, Powercor, Gas main, Sewer lines etc and have background in issuing Permit's and understand the impact of their works on Council's infrastructure
