About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Technical Officer - Electronics to join our growing and innovative Defence Manufacturing and Support business. This key position will report to the Service Centre Team Lead based at Edinburgh, Adelaide and you will employed on a permanent basis. The position can be performed either on a full time or part-time (minimum 0.6 FTE) basis to suit your lifestyle. We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, including working a 9-day fortnight.
Key responsibilities include:
- Undertake preventative and corrective maintenance activities on a wide range of electronic/electrical equipment, both low voltage and extra low voltage
- Fault find and repair electronic/electrical equipment, from deeper maintenance through to component level
- Produce technical reports and testing procedures, review and maintain technical documentation
- Collaborate effectively and provide advice to stakeholders for the successful support and maintainability of equipment
- Interpret electronic schematic drawings, design and build test jigs
- Seek and share good practice and knowledge to continuously improve maintenance activities practices on electronic equipment
About YOU
- Extensive Electronics technical experience, electronics fault finding to component level experience
- A Diploma in Electronics or extensive demonstrated Electronics technical experience
- Radar frequency experience and good computer literacy skills
- Well organised, the ability to work effectively autonomously, in a team environment and with a variety of stakeholders
