About Us
Join our close-knit team and be part of running and maintaining undergraduate teaching labs, create experiments and handling all technical aspects for teaching, research and external engagements that services the needs of the University community.
The Role
Elevate the College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, with a special focus on the School of Engineering and Energy. Drive academic and student success by providing cutting-edge technical engineering services that enhance teaching, learning and research initiatives.
Your key duties include:
- Keep Engineering and Energy facilities in top shape for teaching, learning and research. Manage equipment and procedures for smooth learning for undergraduate and postgraduate teaching requirements.
- Build, maintain and design educational systems with academics for effective teaching and learning.
- Offer technical support to students, academics and the University community as needed.
What you'll bring to this role
- Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field or relevant electrical, engineering experience and/or a combination of education and relevant training.
- Experience in diagnosis of faults relating to engineering and energy systems.
- Provide for the design, construction, repair electrical and electronic sensors, instrumentation and equipment.
- Experience and knowledge of Work Health and Safety.
- Knowledge of physical systems with the ability to solve problems, select appropriate scientific and industrial instruments and controls.
- Current C class driver licence.
