About the opportunity:

We're currently seeking a Senior Technical Services Officer to join our dynamic team of professionals at the Faculty of Health. As the Senior Technical Services Officer for the School of Health Sciences, you'll have a pivotal role in:

  • Ensure the smooth operation of dedicated laboratories in accordance with established operational and safety standards.
  • Collaborate closely with the Technical Services Coordinator to deliver efficient and effective technical support for the Disciplines of Optometry, Pharmacy, and Medical Radiation Science.
  • Supervise the safe operation of dedicated laboratories and oversee the implementation of standard operating procedures, risk management processes, and health and safety protocols.

To be considered you will need a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Science, Pharmacy, Optometry, Engineering, or related discipline), relevant experience providing technical support in an academic or research environment and proven experience in managing laboratory operations.
