About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team leading our approach to the provision of quality care to clients of the Neurophysiology Unit, Department of Neurology. The role will require the successful applicant to primarily perform EEG recordings for inpatients and outpatients within the SVH campus and serving our external referral base. The successful applicant will also perform evoked potential (EP), nerve conduction studies, intraoperative monitoring studies and contribute to the general running of the Neurophysiology Unit, working closely with medical, nursing, allied health and admin staff.

About you:
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Hospital Scientist/Scientific Officer who possesses a passion for patient-centred care. We welcome applications from persons with an Extensive and varied clinical experience in performing and reporting on all modalities of EEG with Bachelor of Science Degree/RMIT diploma or equivalent, demonstrated knowledge of Compumedics EEG, synergy EMG and EP systems and testing experience in all aspects of clinical neurophysiology with strong organisational skills and ability to work in a team. In additional we require applicants to have strong personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.

Selection Criteria:
1.Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.
2.Bachelor of Science Degree/RMIT diploma or equivalent
3.Extensive and varied clinical experience in performing and reporting on all modalities of EEG
4.Demonstrated knowledge of Compumedics EEG, synergy EMG and EP systems and computer literacy
5.Demonstrated testing experience in all aspect of clinical neurophysiology 6.Demonstrated knowledge and experience in IOMs
7.Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
