Your new company
Our client, a Western Australian state government agency, is seeking a Senior Technology Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, directing, planning and managing the development and support activities related to the web applications suite. The role will manage all aspects of the development, from requirements to deployment, to deliver high quality fit for purpose solutions, which are delivered on time and within budget. The role will provide administrative, technical, and people leadership for team.
Your new role
You will work with predictive and agile methodologies to drive improvement and maximise the team's productivity as well as provide leadership, support and mentoring to the Applications Development team.
You will develop a highly motivated and engaged team, and leads and supports the team members professional and personal development initiatives and contribute to release planning and management with key business stakeholders.
You will build and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and proactively offers assistance, building and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships. You will provide timely, collaborative, responsive and open engagement with stakeholders as well as strive for continuous improvement by seeking feedback from stakeholders to gauge satisfaction with the effectiveness of services.
You will lead, manage, monitor and measure service contract delivery and engagement with all suppliers.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will have:
Demonstrated high-level experience building, mentoring, motivating and leading a software delivery team, to achieve outcomes and resolve complex and challenging problems.
Demonstrated high-level experience managing complex software delivery programs across multiple development methodologies
Demonstrated extensive experience across all aspects of the software development life cycle
Demonstrated high-level experience in developing and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders with the ability to work collaboratively, and facilitate and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders and provide exceptional stakeholder support
Demonstrated experience in management of third party specialist service providers and consultants including development and management of contracts, and monitoring of performance
Highly developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
