What you'll do
You’ll develop funding proposals and business pitches/concept notes across a range of key program initiatives. You’ll oversee and coordinate the process of tender applications, bids and new business proposals across all areas – funded, external consultancy proposals, and philanthropic pitches.
  
In addition, you’ll

  • Manage the end-to-end tender process in collaboration with the relevant General Manager and operations staff including;
    • monitor and identify new funding/business opportunities aligned to RANSW’s strategic direction,
    • conduct opportunity assessment to assist in decision making,
    • convene and lead tender working groups,
    • prepare and submit tenders,
    • facilitate process debriefing and elicit feedback from funders
  • Contribute to the preparation of submissions/reports for inquiries and consultations
  • Maintain currency of knowledge of information about the operating environment, including public policy, sector intelligence, key issues, trends and opportunities, in liaison with the Manager, Government Relations
  • Foster productive working relationships and strong communication channels with relevant internal and external stakeholders and partners

The details

  • Permanent role, 4 or 5 days per week or 9 days per fortnight for the right person
  • Based at Macquarie Park with hybrid working options available

What you'll bring

  • Tertiary and/or postgraduate qualifications related to business development, writing and communication skills or related field
  • Experience and demonstrated success in writing high quality tenders and compelling pitches
  • Experience in funding bids, submissions to parliamentary inquiries and sector consultations
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills and ability to manage diverse stakeholder relationships
  • Demonstrated project management and organisational skills and experience, including the ability to implement and drive processes, manage priorities and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Previous experience with a for-purpose organisation is desirable
