Where you’ll be working
You will be working with a diverse and dynamic team within the System Performance Support Branch (SPS), System Sustainability and Performance Division based at 1 Reserve Road, St Leonards, NSW 2065. The System Performance Support Branch is leading the technical stream of a program of work to design, test, build and rollout a new Dynamic State Patient Allocation Matrix across the state in both metropolitan and rural areas over a 24-month period. A new Dynamic State Patient Allocation Matrix provides NSW with a unique opportunity to change the way we distribute patients to emergency departments and other appropriate care destinations, via NSW Ambulance.
This exciting opportunity will allow you to work across many areas of the NSW Health system, including the Ministry of Health, NSW Ambulance, Local Health Districts/Specialty Health Networks and other partner agencies, to deliver a transformative change for our patients, carers and staff.

About the Role
The Senior Test Analyst is responsible for analysing / carrying out quality assurance activities to ensure enterprise solutions for NSW Health are ready for Production deployment. These solutions include and are not limited to:
- Dynamic Statewide Ambulance Matrix
- Electronic Recommendation for Admission (eRFA) Portal
- Elective Surgery Demand and Capacity Dashboard
- Patient Flow Portal
- Patient Flow Dashboard
- Community Care Modules
- Clinician Billing Portal
- Revenue Portal
- All other State ODS Program initiatives as commissioned by NSW Health
These applications consume large amounts of real-time data from numerous source systems used by over 25,000 staff from the Local Health Districts, Ministry of Health, Ambulance NSW, Health Share, eHealth, the Pillars and interstate jurisdictions (ACT Health and Network with Victoria).
The Senior Test Analyst will be responsible for reviewing business requirements, functional design specifications, developing and executing test cases, writing SQL to interrogate large and complex datasets where test case automation will be an advantage.

Selection Criteria
- Experience (> 2 years) with reviewing requirements, use cases and functional specifications to document test cases specific to emergency care, hospital and community care based operations.
- Experience (> 2 years) with functional and or integration testing including testing solutions across different devices and browsers used in an emergency and inpatient health care setting.
- Experience (> 2 years) with writing SQL to develop test cases.
- Experience (> 2 years) testing complex operational systems which consume large amounts of data with a preference for health clinical and billing data.
- Experience (>2 years) working within a large, complex health provider organisation with numerous stakeholders from front line clinical staff, Ambulance NSW,community-based clinicians, health finance/revenue staff, IT staff and/or Health Executives.
- Experience (> 2 years) testing complex operational systems which consume large amounts of data with a preference for health clinical and billing data.
- Highly developed communication and negotiation skills with the ability to document complex issues in a simple manner for clinical, data and IT stakeholders to understand.
- Relevant educational background including a Bachelor degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Clinical degree or equivalent.

COVID-19 Vaccination Compliancy
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (2 doses) of a Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine (except for the Janssen COVID-19 vaccine which is approved by the TGA as a single dose primary course). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
