As a Senior Third-Party Relationship Manager – Business your primary role will be business development and origination of new business.  You will create and then manage your portfolio of medium to large business customers with their funding and whole of wallet banking needs originated through a combination of (a) a select number of targeted and accredited commercial brokers, (b) the Bendigo Bank branch network, and (c) your own independent outbound direct marketing approach.

You’ll play a critical role in driving growth and the sourcing of new to bank clients through your proactive engagement and support of your aligned networks. This role requires prospecting for new business opportunities, creating and building a portfolio, meeting broker and customer needs, and providing a great customer experience.

In this role you will get todo:

  • Work closely with your Commercial Broker BDMs to maximise the opportunity with your aligned brokers as well as working together to identify additional brokers to work with.
  • Maintain strong broker and customer relationships, understanding customer types, meeting current needs, and collaborating to identify future needs in Business Loans, working capital finance, Equipment Finance, Transaction Banking and Financial Markets.
  • Liaise with different specialists across the Bank.
  • Identify and lead business development activities with your aligned broker and BDM.
  • Take the lead in coaching and mentoring your team.  Externally, you’ll have a high profile and strong market presence. 
  • Create and maintain strong internal referral networks with the Bendigo Bank branch network.
  • Create and progress your own independent outbound direct marketing to identified target customers.

To be successful in the role:

  • You will have significant experience writing, analysing and structuring credit transactions for complex business customers.
  • Highly developed business development skills and networking ability with a focus on aligned brokers who represent medium to large businesses.
  • Banking and Finance industry knowledge.
  • You’ll have proven negotiation experience, and the ability to think outside the square and develop innovative customer centric solutions and win-win outcomes for the customer and business.
  • Practical understanding of advanced accredited lending requirements 

This is a full time, permanent position, based in Adelaide. We offer flexible work options that put our people first, and a hybrid model of minimum two days in a local office per week.
