About the Role
You will be responsible for the ongoing development, improvement and delivery of accredited Diploma of Nursing units to students enrolled with Acknowledge Education, providing guidance and mentorship to trainers and Assessors.
Key responsibilities include:
Leadership and Teamwork
- Provide high-quality teaching and academic support to students
- Lead validation and moderation of learning materials and assessment
- Provide guidance and support trainers in relation to classroom management, content delivery, assessment, and compliance; Assist in the performance review process of trainer/assessors, as directed by the Course Coordinator
- Understand and comply with all compliance requirements relevant to the course (e.g., ANMAC and ASQA) as well as Acknowledge Education’s policies
Training and Assessing
- Develop, deliver, and assess units of competency included in the training package for the Diploma of Nursing.
- Ensure that effective learning is taking place in the classroom; provide appropriate feedback to students to maximize students’ potential of achieving job-ready skills.
- Support the fieldwork placement program, performing liaison and supervision duties for students on placement as well as developing partnerships with human services organizations
- Actively pursue and participate in professional development opportunities
Academic Administration
- Maintain accurate records of student contact, progress, and assessment
- Ensure that all student attendance and other required information are recorded accurately to the required standards and on the appropriate information systems.
About You
- Bachelor of Nursing qualification or equivalent
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent OR a diploma or higher-level qualification in adult
- Minimum two (2) years of current and relevant professional experience in the Nursing sector
- Willingness to undertake at least 20 hours of continuing professional development each year
- Willingness to acquire a current Working with Children Check and National Police
- Experience working with international students in the delivery and assessment of vocational education and training
- Proficient in the use of learning management systems (Moodle) and Microsoft Office applications
