We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Senior Trainer to contribute to our training team.
The Senior Trainer and Onboarding Co-ordinator will report to the People Culture and Training Manager and provide training support to our network of Depots across Victoria.
Position overview
Working closely with our training department and bus drivers you will help identify training needs and develop programs that improve our employees workplace experience whilst mitigating risks.
Key responsibilities include:
- identifying training needs
- designing training programs and developing session plans
- delivering classroom training with energy and passion
- automating some training content and record keeping
- continuously improving induction programs
- helping build managers commitment to training and improved employee performance
To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate:
- proven experience in training design and delivery
- strong IT skills
- a strong understanding and application of the Adult Learning Principles
- strong one-on-one coaching skills
- a professional and motivating communication style
- strong commercial acumen and the ability to liaise effectively with all stakeholders
- an understanding of the heavy vehicle industry, bus driving and relevant legislation, policies and procedures
- professional bus driving experience, DC, WWC and MR/HR licence
- completion of CIV in Training and Assessment or a willingness to complete
