Your new role
This dynamic new position will oversee and streamline daily operations, encompassing transport coordination and related activities. Key responsibilities involve effectively managing employees and sub-contractors, ensuring optimal resource utilisation, and maintaining a secure, precise, and compliant execution of tasks aligned with customer expectations and legislative requirements.

Tasks & Responsibilities
- Organise and coordinate daily (planned and urgent) activities to ensure that work is performed safely, efficiently and in accordance with customer requirements, procedures and relevant legislation
- Compliance to, and enforcement of safety regulations and compliance requirements
- Supervise and plan employee schedules to ensure efficient loading, unloading and processing of freight
- Monitoring of staff hours to ensure compliance with fatigue management and safety legislation as well as company policy
- Liaise with customers, operational staff, administration staff and other stakeholders to ensure day to day operations run smoothly
- Monitor and report to management on various KPI’s
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in the Transport and Logistics industry
- Ability to think on your feet and adaptable to change
- Effective planning, organising and time management skills
- Ability to work autonomously or within a team
