Location: Carrapateena, South Australia (60-minute flight from Adelaide / 30-minute flight from Port Augusta)
Roster: 8 days on; 6 days off, on site at Carrapateena
Reporting to: Superintendent - Mining Engineering
Employment Type: Permanent
How You Will Create Impact:
This role will initially be responsible for preparing the weekly mining schedule and progress to be responsible for the 13-week mining schedule. You will generate the production and development physicals to align with the quarterly and 13-week schedules, in order for the operation to achieve safe compliance to budget.
This will be achieved through interactions with multiple internal stakeholders, including but not limited to mine contract partners, mine design, ventilation, geology, geotechnical, electrical and mine projects. You will act as a key interface in communicating mine priorities, tracking performance, and driving compliance to plan.
You will also be a leader amongst the short-term planning team; providing guidance and mentoring to two Engineer direct reports. It is expected that you will help drive continuous improvements in safety and production, including processes and systems, which is essential in a SLC production ramp-up and operational readiness phase of a block cave.
This is a leadership role within the Carrapateena Mining Team, the team with the largest workforce on site, and with it comes the responsibility and opportunity to have a significant impact on the performance, safety and culture of the operation.
What we Value:

• Extensive experience in underground mining; Sub Level Cave or Block Cave experience highly regarded.
• Experience in scheduling Short Term mine plans, medium and long term highly regarded.
• Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering.
• Ability to interact successfully with multiple internal stakeholders.
• Deswik.CAD & Sched experience
