About the opportunityThe
Senior Treasury Analyst oversees the maintenance and regular updating of the University’s centralised custom-built cashflow forecast model, which is maintained in excel, along with production of regular reporting to senior management including the CFO (Chief Financial Officer), ALCO (Asset and Liability Committee), FAC (Finance and Audit Committee) and Senate. The model is complex by nature and the position is required to take many inputs from different parts of the University, update the model regularly, and ensure the output is both accurate and timely.The position also maintains the University’s excel based model used to monitor and maintain both the University’s debt principles and credit rating being an important component required by the University for debt capital market issuances. Other tasks undertaken by this role include assisting the Treasurer with completing bank documentation, general financial markets dealing activities, providing cashflow inputs for the annual budget process and ad hoc projects. The position will also take a lead role in reviewing and implementing a Treasury Management Systems (TMS) for the University.
Your key responsibilities will be:- maintain the University’s Cash Model
- maintain the University’s Debt Principles and Credit Rating Metrics Model
- assist the Treasurer with managing the sale of financial markets assets including listed equities donated to the University
- play a key role in the implementation and maintenance of a Treasury Management Systems (TMS) for the University
- provision of cashflow data outputs as part of the annual budget process
- treasury and investment reporting
- accounting support for Investment and Capital Management (ICM).
About you- bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- membership of the Australian Society of CPA or Institute of Chartered Accountants
