SENIOR UNDERGROUND PRODUCTION ENGINEER

8:6 ROSTER 

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Underground Production Engineer to join our client, overseeing all technical aspects of underground mining operations. This senior position requires effective resource utilization, workforce direction, and a commitment to safety.
Responsibilities:

• Provide technical advice, planning, and methodology for underground mining operations.
• Reporting to the Superintendent.
• Uphold health, safety, and environmental policies, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.
• Manage mine design, ore reserves estimation, and develop production schedules.
• Communicate with Mining Contractor, Shift Supervisor, and technical staff for effective mine plan execution.
• Review and recommend mining methods, and contribute to mining strategies, priorities, and budgets.
• Maintain accurate records for critical mining data, ensuring adherence to operational strategies.

Qualifications:

• Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering.
• Over 7 years of underground mining operational experience.
• WA First-class mine manager’s certificate of competency.
• Advanced Surpac skills.
• Mine Rescue and first aid experience desirable.

• Provide regular reports on mining activities and contribute to budget preparations.

• Internal: Geologists, Mine Surveyors, Mill Supervisors, OH&S Officers.
• External: Underground Mining Contractor, Open pit Mining Contractor, Site Supervisors, External consultants.
