We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Urban Designer with drive and creativity to join our Urban Design and Placemaking Team. With a focus on creating great places for the community, the Senior Urban Designer will undertake a broad range of urban design and placemaking related projects across established, growth and rural areas. Ranging from strategic visioning to supporting capital projects, improving activity centres and neighbourhoods. Projects include preparing urban design frameworks, masterplans, design concepts, guidelines and providing advice on development applications. The Senior Urban Designer will collaborate internally and externally to improve design quality across the city and support liveable neighbourhoods for the community.
About youWe are looking for a passionate and collaborative Senior Urban Designer to join our team with experience in Urban Design, Strategic Planning or Architecture. You will be a strategic thinker that also knows how design lands on the ground. With a personal commitment to design excellence, you will have the ability to balance competing interests to deliver Council’s vision for our community.
Prior experience in local government is not a pre-requisite.
