We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Urban Designer withdrive and creativity to join our Urban Design and Placemaking Team.With a focus on creating great places for the community, the SeniorUrban Designer will undertake a broad range of urban design andplacemaking related projects across established, growth and ruralareas. Ranging from strategic visioning to supporting capitalprojects, improving activity centres and neighbourhoods. Projectsinclude preparing urban design frameworks, masterplans, designconcepts, guidelines and providing advice on developmentapplications. The Senior Urban Designer will collaborate internallyand externally to improve design quality across the city andsupport liveable neighbourhoods for the community.
About you
We are looking for a passionateand collaborative Senior Urban Designer to join our team withexperience in Urban Design, Strategic Planning or Architecture. Youwill be a strategic thinker that also knows how design lands on theground. With a personal commitment to design excellence, you willhave the ability to balance competing interests to deliverCouncil’s vision for our community.
Prior experience in local government is not a pre-requisite.
