KLF Group is a fast growing, family run waste management business based in the Parramatta area. We are committed to managing and recycling construction and demolition waste to the highest standard. Our goal is to recover and recycle as many products as we can from all incoming waste streams in an effort to maintain a sustainable industry.
Our group also comprises Just Skip Bins. Our fleet of 20 skip and hook trucks specialises in providing skip bin hire and construction and demolition waste removal and management services. Just Skip Bins provides safe, sustainable waste management solutions with a focus on recycling, sustainability, and the environment.
The group holds accreditation for ISO 45001:2018, 14001:2015 & 9001:2015.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the business directors, you will have the responsibility of managing the group's Work Health and safety systems and processes, as well as managing the group's compliance with NHVR regulations. You will coordinate with operations and site managers to ensure smooth implementation of all relevant policies and procedures, with your role and responsibilities being:
- Managing and implementing all company policies and procedures, including regular reviews and updates of same where required;
- Managing all ISO accreditation, including being responsible for the annual audit process across the group;
- Ensuring accurate and prompt hazard identification in order to prevent incidents where possible;
- Ensuring accurate and prompt incident/near miss reporting and investigation;
- Conducting regular site audits and tool box talks to ensure compliance with safety procedures;
- Managing workers compensation claims including being the designated Return to Work coordinator across the group;
- Managing compliance with NHVR regulations including chain of responsibility regulations;
- Broadly, ensuring all systems, policies, procedures and documentation is in order to ensure a safe, compliant and efficient working environment.

About you
The ideal candidate will have:
- Prior experience in a WHS supervisory role, particularly within the waste/transport industry (preferably 3 years or more);
- Excellent leadership and communication skills;
- Excellent problem solving and risk management skills;
- The ability to prioritise effectively with strong organisational skills;
- Excellent knowledge and application of WHS and NHVR legislation, as well as experience around RTW coordination and workers compensation management; and
- An excellent work ethic, with the ability to work unsupervised, independently and in a team environment.
