Server Engineer

Rubix Solutions is currently acting on behalf of a leading defence consultancy who have multiple opportunities for experienced NV2 Server Engineers.

To commence, positions are offered on an initial 12 month contract basis (with 2 x 12 month extensions) and to be based onsite in Canberra in HMSA, Harman. Roles offered at $1,000 - $1,050 per day inclusive of super.

The Server Engineer role will provide specialist knowledge and capacity to:

• Design, deliver, and support server-based applications for Coalition delivery outcomes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across defence and coalition technical teams to design and build secure, stable, and resilient systems.
• Focus areas include Five Eye large file transfer, expanded Test Capability, and Five Eye collaboration (SharePoint) services.
• Ensure solutions align with Australian Defence Architecture and Security standards and manage approval and accreditation processes.
• Assist the Delivery Manager and Technical Writer in completing and reviewing technical support documents and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Perform additional tasks as requested by the program.

Requirements:

• Experience in designing and supporting server-based applications.
• Ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders across various defence sectors.
• Expertise in ensuring compliance with defence architecture and security standards.
• Experience with ITSM Change Management.
• NV2 Security Clearance preferred, or current NV1 with the ability to upgrade to NV2.
