About the role:
- Serve as the subject matter expert on all platform hosting related aspects, managing operational service quality, and ensuring adherence to company values and objectives.
- Oversee the platform hosting budget, asset lifecycle management, and maintain up-to-date asset data.
- Foster strong relationships with Managed Service providers and partners, including conducting monthly operational and relationship management meetings.
- Collaborate with vendors on the design, implementation, and support of infrastructure projects, ensuring vendor performance meets contractual obligations and SLAs.
- Lead and develop the team to maintain a positive, customer-focused approach, interfacing effectively with various roles and departments.
- Provide regular reports to management, stay abreast of technology trends in platform hosting and technology, and actively lead improvement programs to enhance service quality.
Experience you’ll bring*:
- Relevant tertiary education in Information Technology, or with at least six years of experience in a senior technical infrastructure role.
- Proven experience in enterprise platform hosting across multiple sites, deep knowledge of server, storage, and data centre hosting technologies, especially in an Operation Technologies (OT) environment.
- Strong experience in leading technical teams, with a minimum of two years in IT project delivery leadership, demonstrating exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proven track record in managing service providers and partners for SLA outcomes, budget management (both opex and capex), and asset life cycle management.
- Technical proficiency across technologies such as Windows Servers (2016/2019/2022), Azure, Active Directory, Office 365, VMWare Virtualization, and various storage platforms. A deep understanding of ITIL best practices is also essential.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts to a diverse audience, combined with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement in both business and technical skills.
