The Opportunity
We are on the look out for a diligent and dedicated Service Employee to join our team at Rosary Gardens! This role is responsible for conducting a broad range of cleaning and or/laundry activities under the general direction of the Group Hospitality Manager and/or the Facility Manager.
The successful candidate will assist in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our facilities, ensuring our residents enjoy a comfortable and pristine living environment.
Key Responsibilities
- To ensure a safe work environment by adopting safe work practices.
- Maintain good working relationships with staff, residents and families.
- To work within the mission statement and philosophy of Southern Cross Care (Tasmania) Inc. to achieve the highest possible standard of care for residents.
- Always maintain and respect employee, consumer and organisational confidentiality.
- Actively participate in meetings and discussions in a constructive manner.
- Communicate with consumers and colleagues in a kind and caring manner, taking into account individual cultural and religious preferences.
- Work as part of a busy team and be supportive of other team members.
- Prioritise workload and use care resources effectively and efficiently.
- Adhere to legislation pertaining to privacy and confidentiality and handling of personal information.
Essential
- Empathy for care recipients.
- Time management and organisational skills to perform at the required standard.
- Good physical health.
- Ability to work in a diverse team.
- Previous experience in general cleaning and laundry duties desirable.
- Satisfactory national police check within the last three months or the ability to obtain one.
- Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People registration with NDIS endorsement or the ability to obtain.
- Satisfactory evidence of working rights in Australia.
