About the location: -
Brig-O-Doon is our 82 bed Age care service, plus Retirement living facility, with its boutique-style nine-unit villas. Is centrally located in Acacia Ridge and only 16 km’s from Brisbane CBD. You'll have access to everything you need with major shopping centres, restaurants, well-established parks and local medical services only a short drive away.
The Retirement living campus, enables couples to remain connected, if one partner requires a higher level of care.
Highlighting the importance of this role
You will be taking on the leadership of the service and drive cultural and clinical practices to ensure the provision of high-quality services are delivered to our residents.
You'll be well supported by a team of clinicians and personal care workers who will benefit from your strong leadership and motivational style. Support will also come from working closely with the Regional Manager and centrally based support team in relation to quality and compliance management, and the navigation of the changing aged care space.

This position is open to both clinical and non-clinical candidates.
In your varied day you will:
- Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary team across clinical and care, administration; and hotel services such as catering, laundry, housekeeping and maintenance.
- Manage recruitment and selection to ensure staffing levels meet the requirements of your team.
- Be approachable and accessible to residents, their representatives and your team.
- Manage and report of budgets and KPI's on a monthly basis.
- Report internal and external stakeholders.
Either with a sound business knowledge in a similar role and/or APHRA Registered Nurse who will provide day to day operational and direction, motivation and continuous development to your team members within our aged care service at Fassifern.
You will have the ability to establish and build effective relationships ensuring that residents have a connection within the local community and have the confidence that they are included within their daily living and care needs.
Along with your insight you will also have excellent operation and financial acumen with the ability to ensure KPI's, accreditation standards and quality indicators are met in line with industry standards.
Being a collaborative leader, your will be comfortable being "hands on' and supporting with duties and staff education when required.
In order to be successful, your skills, knowledge and experience will include.
- Proven success with a minimum 4 years in a senior management position.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of quality assurance programs.
- A current AHPRA registration as a Nurse OR tertiary degree in Human Resources, Finance, or another related field.
- Experience leading and mentoring a clinical care workforce, in the aged care industry, is desirable.
- Knowledge of the accreditation system, as well as funding & regulatory requirements for aged care facilities.
- A current driver's licence and ability to obtain a national police certificate and national insolvency check.
