About the Role:
As the Service Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our clients receive top-notch service and support after their home is completed. Your responsibilities will include:
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and advice to the Service and Construction Departments to ensure client-related matters are handled professionally and promptly.
- Supplier Coordination: Liaise with suppliers to ensure that service works are completed within agreed timeframes.
- Cost Analysis: Review monthly service costs to recognize trends in product, supplier, and Site Managers' performance.
- Inspections: Carry out 12-month inspections, attend and rectify issues, and conduct ad hoc inspections related to workmanship and structural failure.
- Contractor Monitoring: Monitor the performance of maintenance contractors to ensure correct work methods are utilized and carried out proficiently.
- Project Management: Program major works to ensure timely completion, minimizing the impact on clients.
- Recruitment: Develop recruitment and retention strategies for subcontractors.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Qualifications: Diploma in Building and Construction or working towards Builders Registration.
- Experience: 5 years of previous Site Management or Service Maintenance Management experience in a residential building company, preferably project homes. A trades background is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong focus on Client Services, with genuine warmth and empathy towards all stakeholders (clients, internal staff, and subcontractors).
Sound understanding of construction methods, products, and contract practices. Solutions-oriented with the ability to offer support and advice on construction matters. Demonstrated leadership qualities with strong influencing and negotiating skills.
