The Role:

We are delighted to present a captivating opportunity for a Service Manager to join the esteemed Mt Gambier branch. In this pivotal role, you will assume the following responsibilities:

• Spearheading leadership and managerial duties for the branch's expansive service department.
• Overseeing a proficient team comprising approximately 10 skilled tradespeople and coordinators.
• Advocating a culture of safety and operational excellence within the workshop.
• Strategically orchestrating the scheduling and coordination of technicians to address field service calls.
• Upholding impeccable standards of craftsmanship and quality.
• Steering the recruitment, onboarding, and training processes for new team members.
• Serving as the primary liaison for clients, adeptly managing escalated matters.
• Ensuring consistent surpassing of service KPIs by the branch.
• Offering technical expertise and hands-on support to technicians during staffing shortages.

The Candidate:

We are in search of candidates with a demonstrable track record in Workshop or Service Management roles within the heavy equipment domain. Individuals currently holding positions such as leading hands, 2IC or workshop supervisors who are poised to propel their careers forward, are strongly encouraged to apply.

While familiarity with heavy mobile equipment such as earthmoving, agricultural, forestry, mining, or truck/bus is preferred, it is not mandatory. Other essential criteria encompass:

• Proven aptitude in effectively leading and managing teams.
• Experience within dealership settings, particularly in agriculture, trucks, earthmoving, or mining.
• Exceptional communication and managerial prowess.
• The capacity to work autonomously and meet management's expectations.
• Technical proficiency with machinery.
