We are looking for a Service Manager Support person to join our team across Bethania and Mt Warren Park. This role is ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their career. You will work under the guidance of and support our Service Manager to deliver quality care to our residents and provide leadership to the care team.

The main function of the Service Manager Support role is to provide managerial and operational support to the Service Manager, to ensure the smooth and efficient day to day operation of the Community.

A few obvious things:
- Business management qualification (preferred)
- Occupational health and safety qualifications
- Certificate 4 in training and assessment
- Moderate level computer skills
- Accepted Police check
- A preference of at least one year’s administrative experience in a senior position Experience in administration and auditing
- Working knowledge of Quality Assurance Programs
- Demonstrated understanding and compliance with the Aged Care Quality standards and the incoming strengthened Standards
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, staff, residents and their representatives
- Display initiative in recognising problems and willingness to assume responsibility for actions taken
- Ability to establish and maintain rapport with all staff, visitors, contractors and allied health professionals
- A clear understanding SIRS (Serious Incident Response Scheme) and escalation process
- Willingness to support the Philosophy, Values and Pillars of Palm Lake Care
Main duties but not limited to:
- Meeting the operational and administrative needs of the community including general stock and supplies management and ensuring duty lists updates and availability.
- Manage end to end recruitment, replacement and assessment of employees as required with a focus on Food Services, Housekeeping Team and Maintenance Officers.
- Assist in the preparation of rosters on a fortnightly basis
- Work collaboratively with the Service Manager to ensure compliance with accepted professional Infection Control guidelines and practices
- Assist the Service Manager to ensure a safe, secure environment, in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety guidelines and Fire Regulations, for staff, Residents and visitors
- Working within a quality audit schedule
- Internal feedback management
- Assisting with annual performance reviews
- Assisting with investigations of complaints
