Form of workWe are currently seeking a versatile and skilled Service Person who possesses experience in operating mobile plant equipment, particularly loaders.
About Us: Destec is a diversified mining contractor with a fast-growing client base, providing ore crushing, screening and materials handling to the mining industry. We take pride in innovation through designing, constructing, building, maintaining and operating our own crushing and screening plants for Tier 1 mining sites. Additionally, we provide ore processing and materials handling services to the mining industry across Western Australia.About the role: We are currently seeking a versatile and skilled Service Person who also possesses experience in operating mobile plant equipment, particularly loaders for our new mining project based out of Port Hedland. The successful candidate will be responsible for both maintenance and operation tasks within our site.
As part of this role, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day servicing and refueling of all mobile plant machinery on-site. Additionally, you will lend your expertise to maintenance duties, particularly focusing on the mobile crushing plant, ensuring seamless operations at all times. Beyond servicing responsibilities, we are seeking an individual who is eager and adept at operating various mobile plant equipment, including loaders, moxy trucks, and water carts.
This project is a new mining operation, FIFO on a 2:1 roster ex Perth to mine site just south of Port Hedland.
Salary for this role is from $161 000 per annum, higher range for trade qualified applicants.
Requirements:
- Have a minimum 2 years experience working as a Service Person within a mining/civil environment
- Hold a Trade Qualification (Mechanical Fitter preferred) - Highly desirable
- Hold a current and valid driver’s licence (HR minimum)
- Hold machinery tickets and/or have previous experience with Loaders, Excavators, Skid Steers, Dump Trucks, Telehandler and/or Watercarts
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment including a drug & alcohol screen
- Ability to provide/obtain a Police Clearance
- Previous experience working on Mobile Crushers, and related equipment (Highly desirable)
- High Risk - Intermediate rigging ticket
- Hold machinery tickets and/or have previous experience with Loaders, Excavators, Skid Steers, Dump Trucks, Telehandler and/or Watercarts
