Due to growth, we’re on the hunt for a highly motivated Service Supervisor - Fire Services to join their thriving team in Melbourne. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of your team ensuring quality, compliance and customer satisfaction is achieved. You're a leader that enjoys nurturing your team to drive performance whilst ensuring safety, service and department KPI's are met.
About the role:
- Directly manage and coordinate a team of Technicians under the direction of the scheduler (approx 17 Technicians)
- Oversee the day-to-day work of the field service personnel who perform on site routine services including installations, repairs and maintenance and manage performance, customer satisfaction and compliance
- Forward planning to ensure the team is utilised efficiently through monitoring defects, quotes, follow up processes and reviewing scheduled work calendar
- Attend sites to complete audits as required
- Support Technicians with any urgent issues on sites
- Quoting/estimating
- Account Management of key clients to ensure retention and growth of clients whilst developing new business opportunities
- Ensure development and growth of team through training and mentoring
- Management of P&L responsibility, budgeting and forecasting
- Monthly reporting of budgets and WIP
- Evaluate and improve operational performance
- Conduct weekly toolbox meetings
- Drive initiatives in the branch and organisation that contribute to long-term operational excellence
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance within standards, WHS Policy, procedures and SWMS
What we’re looking for:
- Previous supervisory experience preferably in the Fire Services industry
- Ability to effectively lead and manage a team whilst meeting KPI's and deadlines
- Strong IT skills across Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
- Strong focus on quality and safety
- Proficient with administration, business process and function
- Quoting exposure
- Ability to build customer relationships and provide a high standard of customer service
- Time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Ability prioritise in a demanding role
- Critical thinker
- Strong people management
