A rare opportunity has opened for a Service Support Assistant to work on a part-time basis (0.8FTE) at our Jandakot base. This role is integral to supporting our Nursing team by providing administrative, organisation and operational assistance.
About you
- Previous administration experience working in the healthcare industry, with a commitment to high standards in customer care
- Well-developed organisational skills, with the ability to undertake multiple tasks within critical timeframes, with minimal supervision
- Experience in handling medical consumables and medical equipment
- Understanding of medical supplies and terminology
- Experience in maintaining adequate stock levels
- Experience using the Microsoft Office suite
About the role
- Assist with the checking and cleaning of medical equipment
- Coordinate dispatch of medical equipment items for servicing and repair
- Liaise with maintenance technicians regarding timely maintenance of oxylog ventilators and oxygen equipment
- Assist with aircraft and medical equipment checking
- Monitor and maintains stock levels of consumables
- Order, receive and store medical equipment and consumables
- Provide equipment and consumables to regional bases
- Ensures blood supply available at base
- Retrieval of medical equipment from external locations
- Maintain linen stocks
- Maintain cleanliness of crew room and medical equipment storage shelves

The mission of the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Western Operations) is to provide excellence in aeromedical and primary health care across Western Australia.
