Job description:
THIS OPENS THE DOOR TO YOUR FUTURE: OUR OPPORTUNITY
Ideally you will have Automatic door knowledge, however this is not essential. We are looking for someone that is mechanically minded and has a basic understanding of electrical safety principles. This role suits someone who can work independently and is passionate about what they do.
No two days will ever be the same and you will be responsible for carrying out preventative maintenance, breakdown repair and fault diagnosis and some major works to Automatic, Swing & Revolving Doors. This role will also provide support for other dormakaba products from the installation to both new construction and existing clients.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Servicing customer equipment to the customers' ongoing satisfaction and setting minimum performance standards.
- Projecting a Customer Service image through competent service procedures, professional personal presentation, and communication with all customers and vehicle image.
- Maintaining accurate service data through diligent and timely use of all service documentation and technical data.
- Managing assigned parts and consumable stocks effectively.
- Communicating with Sales and Service management about customer complaints and sales opportunities.
- Working in a safe manner both in regard to the public and person.
- Proper use of issued PPE and safety equipment
- Responsible for own safety and that of members of the public and customers
- Reporting Hazards, Near Miss Incidents, Incidents and Injuries according to company policy and procedure
YOUR SKILLS
- Current Drivers license.
- Maintain a current COVID-19 certificate.
- Product knowledge and diagnostic capabilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of electrical safety principles.
- Mechanical knowledge.
- Ability to work independently.
