Service Technician

General Overview  HYTORC trained Service Technicians carry out in house service, repairs, calibrations and inventory management across a variety of tooling including pumps, torque guns, manual clicker wrenches and much more in our state of the art climate and humidity controlled service centers.

Opportunities to grow within the company are vast as we expand our footprint across the South Pacific and beyond.

HYTORC has service centers across Australia including Adelaide (head office), Brisbane, Perth and NSW.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities  

• Combining technical experience with our company paid training. Service Technicians perform in house services, preventive maintenance, repair and calibration services for all HYTORC product lines in a timely efficient manner.
• Complete accurate work orders, quotations and calibration certificates as per service requirements
• Adhere to company standard operating procedures, OHS and ISO quality policies. 
• Maintain HYTORC demo, hire, and loan equipment to a high standard
• Maintain spare parts inventory and tooling within in the service department. 
• Submit required reporting to Service Manager as to the schedule, tasks completed, and detailed activity reports weekly.
• Strive to meet goals and Key Performance Indicators as outlined by the Service Manager.
• Check tools for safety decals and safe operating features and maintain accurate schedule and record of maintenance.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service by communication and interactions in a positive and professional manner.
• Interact with all personnel in a friendly and professional manner
• Responsible for checking in inventory in and out including data base updating

• Use hand and power tools skillfully and safely.

• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining workloads.
• Visit customers on site if required
• Hold or obtain a passport to possibly undergo training in the USA

Certificates and License 

• Mechanical Fitter / mechanical lv or HD / electrical background
• Restricted Electrical license – disconnect/reconnect preferred desirable
• 5+ years of  skilled hands-on mechanical/technical experience
• Valid driver’s license 
• Valid national police check or ability to gain

Preferred

• Hydraulic/Pneumatic/ fitter / mechanical trade certificate.
• Experience with Pneumatic, electrical, hydraulic background
• Test & tag certification

Computer Skills Necessary

• Intermediate skills using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and general navigation of computer.

 Physical Demands/Requirements 

• Ability to perform work during prolonged standing up to 10 hours; frequent bending, reaching.
• Ability to routinely lift 10 to 35 kilograms without assistance. Perform general physical tasks.
• Ability to travel for short periods if required.
• Ability to work overtime if required
