Join our team at MST where Service Technicians are vital in delivering top-notch service and support to our valued customers. As a Technician, you'll engage with our diverse MST Product suite and seamlessly integrate third-party technologies to meet the unique needs of our Surface and Underground mining clientele.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Conducting repair, testing, and assembly tasks in our Service Centre.
- Troubleshooting various communications systems.
- Performing bench repairs on electronic equipment.
- Reading and interpreting circuit diagrams, with a strong ability to repair to component level and exceptional logical fault-finding skills.
We encourage applications from individuals with backgrounds in instrument fitting, radio repair, and production repair, provided you possess proficiency in cables, soldering, and diagnostics. Safety is paramount at MST, and you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining a culture of safety compliance across MST.
To excel in this role, you should demonstrate:
- A Certificate III in Electronic and Communications or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of relevant on-the-job experience.
- Experience in Two-Way Radio or Telecommunications Bench level repair up to board level.
- Proficiency in network and computer skills, including the ability to program electronic components.
- A commitment to delivering quality work to achieve customer satisfaction.
- Strong time management skills and punctuality.
- Familiarity with communications technology and the mining industry (desirable)
- Accreditation in AS/NZS 3800 Repair and Overhaul of electrical equipment used in hazardous areas (highly desirable)
