About the RoleReporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the role focuses on contributing to quality and efficient daily machine servicing on Heavy Earthmoving Equipment/Mobile Plant and would suit someone looking to be home every night.
As a Serviceman, you'll be responsible for the upkeep of our machinery and workshop facilities and performing general technical assistance (TA) duties such as:
- Perform service and maintenance work such as refueling and repairs
- Assist with inspections including diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Equipment includes Dozers, Excavators, Haul Trucks, Graders, Wheel Loaders, Water Trucks, Service Trucks and more
- As part of our recruitment and onboarding process, you will be required to complete pre-employment medical checks which includes a drug and alcohol screen
- Additionally, you'll assist with general cleanup in the workshop and handle parts pick-ups as needed. Your role will require a valid HR driver's license to operate our service truck efficiently.
- Record quantities of fuel, oils and parts used whilst servicing each machine.
- Monitor and correctly dispose of waste oil, filters and coolant according to correct company guidelines.
- Complete all required service documents accurately and in a timely manner.
- Achieve efficient work practices whilst maintaining minimal machine downtime.
- Assist tradesperson’s when all servicing duties are complete.
- Complete all maintenance records as per company requirements.
- A proven commitment to and compliance with site safety standards.
- Mechanical Experience
- Current Australian HR License
- Experience in machinery maintenance or a similar field.
- Proficiency in conducting routine checks and basic repairs.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A valid HR driver's license.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A “can do” attitude with the ability to work well in a team environment
- A strong commitment to WH&S policies and procedures.
- Previous experience in servicing mobile plant and equipment
- Forklift Ticket / HR License
- Operate Elevating Work Platform / Work Safely at Heights Ticket
- Cert III - Heavy Diesel Mechanical Trade - Fitter/Mechanic or equivalent
- A police clearance is required for this position.
- All successful applicants will be required to complete a pre-employment medical including a drug and alcohol screen and a Work Cover audio.
- Candidates are required to live in an area that allows for no more than 50 km travel to and from site as this is a daily commute role.
