Ses Band 1 - Chief Information Officer - Identified

As Chief Information Officer (Branch Manager, SES Band 1) and a key member of the department’s Executive team, you will be a high performing executive who can lead a complex work program and contribute to the leadership of the department through active involvement in executive decision-making, representational activities and working collaboratively to provide strategic direction and drive a culture of high performance. You will make a substantial contribution to the delivery of key government priorities and engage with a broad range of stakeholders in delivering policies and programs that improve the wellbeing of individuals and families in Australian communities.

To be a strong contender you will have outstanding leadership skills. You will also have a demonstrated record of achievement, excellent interpersonal skills and sound judgement. The position is Identified which signifies that the role may have strong involvement in matters relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This position may be required to liaise with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities and service providers. You will require cultural competency or the ability to be willing and capable of building cultural competency, to:
• understand the matters impacting Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples
• demonstrate ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples
• demonstrate capability and commitment to continue to develop cultural competency.
