As the Chief Information Officer, you will be accountable for leading, coaching and growing the ICT team, and improving the performance and standards of IT operations as key priorities. Other responsibilities would include driving innovation and growth in the organisations technology capability, including the delivery of enterprise-wide technology enabled programs of work. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will take a lead role in supporting the strategic plan and digital roadmap.
Key to your first 12 months managing the IT function, would include leading the delivery of the a digital technology roadmap, with two key programs forming a core part of the roadmap. Building and developing your customer-centric technology team will be a priority, as addition to maturing IT operations and service delivery.
Your key accountabilities would include:
• Managing day-to-day technology operations, with a focus on driving a culture of continuous improvement and service culture - you beat industry benchmarks
• Ongoing development and project delivery of an integrated digital strategy and technology roadmap for a diverse and challenging stakeholder base
• Leading, managing, developing and motivating the IT team, implementing initiatives to ensure team engagement and motivation
• Maintaining management of all annual and multi-year IT planning, programming, and financial decisions
About you:
• Demonstrate an ability to develop, implement and evaluate technology strategies in a modern, digital-focused world
• Demonstrate an ability to lead the development, implementation and evaluation of high-level IT vendor partnerships and internal relationships in a complex organisational structure
• Awareness and understanding of the activities, objectives and strategic direction of technology in current and emerging global contexts; including knowledge and understanding of current technology issues
• Strong financial and commercial management capabilities, and demonstrated experience successfully managing budgets and expenditure in an enterprise technology function
• Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to achieve objectives operating within complex organisation structures, and multiple stakeholder settings
