The Network Education Support Officer is a key role within the Prince of Wales Hospital Medical Education Unit. The primary purpose of the role is to manage, coordinate and evaluate the education training program and educational activities of Junior Medical Officers within the Prevocational Training Network and Junior Doctors wishing to pursue a career in Surgery within the Surgical Skills Program, to ensure the delivery of high quality education and training initiatives.
- Relevant qualifications in health, education or management and/ or relevant equivalent work experience or a combination of these.
- Demonstrated highly developed communication and interpersonal skills (both written and oral) including demonstrated negotiation, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills, with the ability to deal confidently and courteously with people at all levels to build and maintain strong, effective relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member and/or autonomously with the ability to generate enthusiasm, a resourceful and resilient personality and an approachable manner.
- Demonstrated strong organisational skills and proven experience in the management of diverse projects and multiple tasks in a timely manner to meet assigned deadlines and to meet challenges of delivering a work-based education program.
- Highly developed computing skills in Microsoft Office, internet/email, web-based platforms and the ability to adapt to new systems as required.
- The flexibility and ability to travel to other sites and meetings as required.
- Previous experience and knowledge of education or health administration.
