From time to time the School of Law requires Sessional Academic assistance for unit teaching and marking in the LLB(Hons) program. We are seeking applications for those interested in undertaking these activities during semester.

What do you need to succeed?To undertake marking duties within the School you will require:- Completion of a Bachelor of Laws.
- Strong Communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work harmoniously in a team and a commitment to collegiality and inclusion.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
To undertake teaching duties within the School you must meet the following additional requirements:
- Completion or substantial progress to a Masters or doctoral qualification in Law; OR a minimum of two years experience as a legal practitioner.
- Ability to provide high quality teaching at undergraduate level
- Complete the video interview assessment via Criteria.
Additional information
The QUT LLB(Hons) is an AQF Level 8. As such, there is a requirement that all teaching be delivered by an individual with a degree one level higher than that of the course in which the person teaches. Please note that a Graduate Certificate in Legal Practice alone does not meet these requirements and in these circumstances, you will need to provide details of a minimum of 2 years relevant professional legal experience.For information on Sessional Academic classifications and salary rates please click here.Please note: We are only considering applicants based in the Brisbane region for face-to-face employment.
