About the role
As a SharePoint and M365 Developer at Glen Eira City Council, you'll be at the forefront of revolutionising how local government employees operate in their digital workspace. Our Digital and Technology Services team is dedicated to leveraging technology to enhance our flexible, hybrid working model through efficiency, accessibility, and user experience across all council services.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Develop and Customise: Use your SharePoint and M365 development skills to provide technical advice and build solutions to meet the specific needs of our council's departments and initiatives.
• Collaborate: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver fit for purpose solutions that streamline processes and enhance collaboration.
• Innovate: Bring fresh ideas to the table! We encourage out-of-the-box thinking and the implementation of the latest SharePoint and M365 features to drive innovation.
• Support and Maintain: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing SharePoint and M365 solutions, ensuring optimal performance and user satisfaction.

About you

The following is also required:

• Tertiary qualifications in information technology or other relevant field with significant and diverse relevant industry experience.
• Proven experience in SharePoint and M365 development and customisation, with a strong understanding of SharePoint Online and SharePoint Framework.
• A knack for solving complex problems and a passion for finding creative solutions to meet business needs.
• Solid knowledge of M365/O365 suite of applications and experience in development on Microsoft Power Platform, e.g., Power Automate and Power Apps
• Strong front-end development skills, including good understanding of JavaScript fundamentals and experience with React, HTML5, CSS, C#, .NET, SharePoint CSOM, JSON, and REST APIs
• Experience with git-based code repositories, branching, source code management.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• A collaborative mindset with a willingness to work closely with colleagues across different departments.
