Pay’s Air Service is a commercial aviation operation based in Scone, NSW. We currently offer fixed wing fire support to government agencies both nationally and internationally. We run a maintenance facility which supports our fire fleet and carries out vintage fighter restorations.
Qualifications, skills & experience
- Cert IV in Aeroskills (Structures) or other relevant trade qualifications
- Experience in the Aviation Sheet Metal Industry is essential
- Minimum 3 years work experience
- Repair and/or fabricate aircraft metallic components and parts
- Maintenance and repair of composite structures
Tasks & responsibilities
- Performing regular maintenance on our fleet including Air Tractors (wheeled & FireBoss'), Cessnas, Seminoles and Warbirds
- Testing and troubleshooting structural repairs with urgency based on the requirements of the client
- Maintaining job records including timesheets, worksheets and maintenance logs
- Maintain a clean, safe operating environment for staff and visitors
- Taking accountability for safety of themselves, the team, and staff who work around the hangar by proactively identifying and addressing safety hazards or issues
- Sharing general knowledge with staff and students about aircraft maintenance and functions
