Your New Role
- Understanding technical and blueprint drawings used to guide measuring, cutting, shaping and joining metal fittings
- Set up and operate a number of machines within the workshop including, drill presses, brakes, shears, lathes and mills
- TIG welding - Although not a lot of welding experience is necessary for the job
- Fabrication of light fittings - cutting, bending and shaping as well as using hand and power tools to finish products
- Grinding and polishing finished products for the desired finish
- Quality assurance
- Ensuring you are working safely to get the work done.
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Trade Qualification - Fabrication (desirable but not necessary)
- 3+ years within relevant industry
- Knowledge of fabrication machines such as shears, drill presses etc.
- Able to pass a Drug and Alcohol test and medical if required
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
