Sheet Metal Tradesmen/ Fabricators / Laser Operator

The Roles

We are looking for good Sheetmetal trades people / Fabricators with experience in fabricating, we make a wide variety of work working for many industries. We work with Mild Steel, Aluminium and Stainless Steel, We are looking for people that  have the ability to work efficiently, independently, and produce work to a high standard. 

We are also looking for a Laser Operator for our 6kw Fibre Laser (only 9 months old). Previous experience preferred but we can train right person as long as they have some relevant experience and the right approach/attitude. 

We are offering permanent positions for the right candidate with the opportunity to start immediately.

About Us

We are a locally owned, well established business with a solid customer base, focusing on quality and customers needs. The work that we undertake is for a variety of industries from mining to medical with something new each day. The workshop is based in Pinkenba with a good set up. We have a great team with a number of people who have been in the industry for a while that are happy to share their knowledge. We have invested in new machinery and now also have Laser Welding as well as laser cutting.

Key Requirements

• Candidate must reside in Australia with rights to work in Australia
• Completing or completed apprenticeship doing similar work
• TIG and MIG experience
• Sheetmetal skills 1mm to 6mm (not heavy boilermakers)
• Ability to read and interpret drawings
• Ability to work independently with initiative and ability to work well in a team

Desirable Skills

• Current Forklift qualification (not essential)
• Positive attitude
• Ability to work using own initiative
