The successful applicant will be responsible for:
• Selecting metal stock, ensuring quality of chosen materials and sizes meet drawing specifications.
• Using gauges and other measuring instruments to mark metal with appropriate lines and reference points.
• Adopting appropriate methods to accurately assemble materials into final products.
• Carefully cutting metal in accordance with the use of guillotines, drills and power shears.
• Operate folding and bending machines to shape and form material.
• Finishing products by filling, sanding and welding.
• Accurately interpreting drawing, blueprints and specifications to determine materials, equipment, material flows and capacities.
• Perform repairs on damaged materials.
• Ensure coordination and timely completion of tasks.
• Understand and adhere to all management systems, policies and procedures, and other regulatory requirements.
