We currently seek a permanent Full-time Sheetmetal Worker who is reliable and experienced, who will bring their experience and positive approach to contribute to our future success.
This role will mainly be 98% based at our client in Botany.
About you:
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.
- Select and prepare various sheet metal materials according to project requirements.
- Utilize hand and power tools, including shears, brakes, punches, and drills, to cut, bend, and form sheet metal.
- Operate welding equipment, such as MIG and TIG welders, to join metal components with precision and accuracy.
- Ensure all welds meet quality standards and adhere to safety protocols.
- Perform basic maintenance on tools and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve project deadlines.
- Prioritize workflow through effective communication with management staff.
- Have a professional attitude with attention to detail.
- Ability to follow safe work practices.
- Currently holds an Australian Citizen or Permanent Residence
- Ability to work within a team environment.
- A great attitude and passion for their work!
Qualifications:
- Trade qualification in Welding or Sheet Metal Work (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a welding and/or sheet metal fabrication environment.
- Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques.
- Strong understanding of metal properties and fabrication processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
