THE ROLE

Exclusive opportunity for a Mechanical Fitterto join our production team. You will initially work Monday to Friday 6am - 2pm, then move into a Morning/Afternoon roster . Excellent overtime available and weekend work. 

Your role is responsible for providing effective support in the preventative maintenance and repair of the production line, ensuring the achievement of factory production targets. 

Duties & Responsibilities

Reporting into the Engineering Manager, the Mechanical Fitter will form part of the maintenance team and will be responsible for:

• Carrying out preventative and scheduled maintenance on all mechanical machinery within the factory.
• Ensuring all relevant procedures & safe work method statements are filled out before maintenance tasks commence.
• Experience with any of the following would be highly advantageous: welding (MIG, TIG)
• Understanding on Condition monitoring and use of maintenance monitoring system SAP.
• Fault finding and troubleshooting to limit downtime and improve the operational effectiveness of the factory.
• Adhere to safe work practices and take steps to identify hazards and report incidents.

 Skills & Qualifications:

• Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate
• Good communication skills both verbal and written.
• A hands-on attitude, problem-solving skills, with the ability to work both autonomously & as part of a supportive team.
