Commencing a staged opening in 2024, The Star Brisbane will bring a range of unique entertainment options, world class hotels, dining, bars, luxury retail, gaming and a state-of-the-art Event Centre, transforming how people will play, shop and socialise in the river city.The Shift Property Operations Manager, reporting to the Senior Manager Property Operations, offers the opportunity to lead maintenance works and facilities team member to effectively achieve completion of work orders across The Star Brisbane property. In this role, you will ensure limited downtime of facilities due to maintenance, to provide a safe and welcoming environment for team members and guests.This is a fantastic shift opportunity where you can put your skills and knowledge to the test to deliver a thrilling new era for Property Operations in Brisbane!A few of your responsibilitiesManage the operational functions to attain departmental objectives, which involves organising, ranking, and arranging work ordersEnsure Preventative & Corrective Maintenance & Repairs are programmed and scheduled through the Maximo Asset Management SystemCo-ordinate resource requirements to ensure business demands and requests are achieved in a timely mannerContribute to cost saving strategies including work methodologies and energy saving conceptsComplete workshop and field inspections including routine inspections of emergency and OH&S equipmentInvestigate fire alarms and provide reporting to assess the situationCoordinate recovery operations in the event of emergencies such as fires and power failuresWhat we will be looking forExperience in facilities management for a large propertyAbility to communicate and implement statutory processesTertiary qualification in engineering or facilities managementStrong knowledge in budget controlAbout youYou will be an experienced Facilities Management professional with a recognised qualification in Engineering or Facilities Management. You will demonstrate a strong comprehension of hotel and building facility management, as well as expertise in handling manpower operating budgets.You will have demonstrated strategic planning, resource management, cost control, and effective leadership experience in people management coupled with effective communication and influencing skills.Your role will be pivotal in shaping the success of our Property Operations at the Star Brisbane.
