- Salary: $110,922 - $127,293 p.a. plus 11% Super

- Civil Liabilities Allowance is payable, access to leaseback vehicle.
The position is permanent, fulltime, working 35 hours per week 8.00am to 4.00pm, at the Shoalhaven Water Operations Depot, 6 Flinders Road, South Nowra. The position is within the Shoalhaven Water Utility of Shoalhaven City Council. You will also have access to a leaseback vehicle.
Reporting directly to the Manager – Shoalhaven Water Operations and Maintenance, the focus of this position is to:
- Managing the Wastewater Operations including Wastewater headworks and Wastewater Distribution.
- The management of a large, diverse team.
- Emergency Management.
- EPA reporting and correspondence.
- Provide expert knowledge in wastewater treatment, including fault finding and resolution, chemicals for optimal performance, water/wastewater fittings, construction, and design.
- Undertake project management on operational projects.
- Review operational documents, write reports including KPIs on wastewater team performance and scheduled maintenance.
- Build a capable, respected team with a strong culture.
- Provide excellent customer service.
To be successful in the position, you will possess:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent relevant qualification, allowing membership to Engineers Australia.
- High level knowledge and experience using best practice in asset utilisation and asset maintenance, including water and wastewater operating frameworks and standards.
- Experience in managing work groups to achieve maintenance plans.
- Proof of Australian residency or citizenship, or authority to work in Australia (visa).
- Current Class C Drivers Licence.
