SalaryAn exciting new leadership opportunity has opened for a Nurse Unit Manager to join the Operating Theatre team at a private hospital located in Orange.
POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Nurse Unit Manager, you will join Theatre Complex which manages 8 Operating Theatres, including 1 hybrid catherisation laboratory. Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, you will work with and support nursing staff in achieving excellence in care delivery in line with best practice and legislative requirements.
The successful candidate will supervise, lead, direct, and motivate staff to achieve outcomes with the ability to manage financial and human resources. You will effectively manage roster processes, allocate duties for nursing staff, proactively increase occupancy where possible and provide a positive, safe, learning environment.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
As the successful candidate, you will possess:
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- Demonstrated extensive experience as a Clinical Nurse or Nurse Unit Manager in a theatre services setting;
- Postgraduate Clinical Nursing qualification (or currently working towards);
- Minimum of 3 years of management or team-leading experience;
- Be professional and highly motivated with a passion for enhancing staff engagement;
- Proven effective communication and interpersonal skills in a multidisciplinary environment.

REMUNERATION
On offer is an hourly rate ranging from $60.62 - $65.21 + superannuation based on qualifications and experience.
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located in Orange, is a 57-bed facility that provides a comprehensive range of medical, surgical, rehabilitation, and psychiatric services. The hospital has 5 Operating Theatres. Apart from general medical and surgical beds, there are 17 licensed rehabilitation beds and a 13-bed mental health unit.
