We are looking for a Shutdown Scheduler to help us excel at safely maintaining our fixed plant assets through effective preparation and delivery of maintenance shutdown schedules. This is a unique development opportunity to manage key stakeholder relationships and gain exposure to all facets of Shutdown Scheduling within Gudai Darri Fixed Plant Department.
Reporting to the Senior Planner and working in a dynamic and exciting environment you will be:
- Detailed knowledge of Work Management & Shut Management Processes, with particular emphasis on scheduling related phases
- Produce weekly draft & commit schedules, run the corresponding meetings with the various stakeholders following set agenda
- Generate weekly W/M analysis reports for discussion at the draft schedule meetings
- Balancing labour forecast with the required work
- Prioritising work with the Supervisors, Superintendents, and external departments, utilising your considerable stakeholder and relationship building skills
- Work closely with a variety of stakeholders across the organisation to identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement and ensure there is effective communication of the plans to ensure appropriate risk management strategies are in place
- Leading the maintenance scheduling function for daily and shutdown activities in-line with our Asset Management and Work Management processes and practices
- Providing Subject Matter Expertise to site on our Planning & Scheduling, Work Management and Shut Management processes
- Monitoring and improving the effectiveness of our Maintenance Planning & Scheduling process
- Building weekly and shutdown schedules , maintaining capacities to ensure the effectiveness of the execution of these schedules is achieved
- Ensuring targets are consistently delivered in a sustainable/ timely manner and with maximum customer satisfaction.
- Experience in the use of Prometheus is advantageous.
What you’ll bring
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Demonstrated skills in maintenance planning or scheduling
- Working knowledge of SAP or similar system
- Experienced with the use of MS Project and building Gantt charts
- Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office including Excel
- A current Australian driver’s license (manual)
- Ability to work under pressure and coordinate multiple work targets
- Can do attitude with problem solving skills, logical thinking and sound decision making
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
