In fact, we have work in hand that takes us through to 2032 and beyond.Based in Brisbane, you will be part of dynamic, innovative, and collaborative team renowned for its world-class thinking and solutions.Key accountabilities:Ensuring compliance with safety and engineering design standards.Producing the signalling design.Producing and writing technical documents such as Design, Assurance and Safety reports.Producing detailed design and calculations reports regarding low voltage power distribution systems.Producing and managing BOM, liaising directly with suppliers.Developing strong working relationships to facilitate knowledge & best practice.Support Construction and Testing & Commissioning activities on site.Analyse and report technical non-conformities.Key knowledge and experience:Problem-solving: Diagnose and troubleshoot complex signalling issues efficiently, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions to ensure system functionality and safety.Accuracy: Small errors can have significant safety implications in railway operations; Safety: Commitment to prioritizing safety in all aspects of the job/task performed.Collaboration: Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with other engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to achieve project objectives and resolve issues.Continuous learning: Commitment to ongoing professional development in signalling technology, industry trends, and best practices through training, certifications, and networking.Proactivity: Implement the actions required to figure out and overcome technical issues.University Degree - Electrical, Electronic, Computer Engineering or Information Technology.3 to 5 years of experience in Transportation/Signalling system engineering.Knowledge of rail signalling standards and regulations.Knowledge about electrical design and applicable regulations such as AS3000, AS3008.At Hitachi Rail, we know that a diverse business is a sustainable business.
