Realising Every Dream Ltd. (REDinc) are on the lookout for exceptional Disability Support Workersto join the teams in our Supported Independent Living (SIL) Accommodation. There are multiple opportunities available on a casual basis across Casino.

Our Residential Support Workers ensure that all participants living in a Supported Independent Living environment are well supported to be active members of their community, achieve their individual goals and are encouraged participate in all aspects of home living.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be:
• Providing assistance and support to the participants in daily activities
• Fostering a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere in the participant’s home
• Collaborating with a team of workers to ensure the participant’s ongoing wellbeing and development
• Assisting with meal preparation and light housework such as cleaning and washing
• Assisting with personal care – such as grooming, showering, bathing, toileting and dressing
• Assisting with medication where required
REDinc are looking for individuals that are compassionate, patient and have a genuine desire to make a positive difference and uphold the dignity and rights of people living with a disability. To be considered for the role, you need to be able to demonstrate:
• Previous experience as a Support Worker is essential. This may be within disability support, aged care, community care or nursing.
• A positive attitude towards people with disabilities and a working knowledge of the NDIS Disability Service Standards
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, a high level of emotional intelligence and the ability to build trust and develop rapport
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a cohesive, friendly team
• Demonstrated experience following Behaviour Support Plans, or effectively managing behaviours of concern
• The ability to maintain the dignity and confidentiality of the people who access our services.
• Current, unrestricted NSW Drivers Licence and a good driving record
• Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Clearance Check
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement
• Vaccination against COVID-19
• Availability and willingness to undertake sleepover shifts and weekend shifts
• Relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability / Ageing) are preferred.
