Pointe Engineering (based in Sydney, Australia) is a specialised geotechnical contractor which provides ground improvement construction services for commercial, mining and large infrastructure projects.

We are looking to add a Site Engineer based in Port Macquarie or Coffs Harbour to join our team.
About you and the role
Come and join the dynamic team in Mid-Coast NSW.
The role will be to provide your Engineering skills to ensure that the activities related to the slope stabilisation works are planned, organised and delivered through appropriate construction methodology.
Responsibilities of the role include;
- Manage the overall services delivery of the project, on or ahead of time with all client expectations met.
- Manage the execution of services engineering, procurement and construction activities and adopt appropriate construction methods.
- Execute working knowledge of contractual and legislation relevant to the project.
- Exercise professional judgement in resolving engineering issues, i.e. construction methods, design, engineering procedures, etc.
- Coordinate all procurement and subcontractor engagement with Project Manager
- Financial management: Ensure strong contract, commercial and financial risk management, accurate forecasting of both costs and revenue, take corrective action in line with authority and reporting frameworks and maximise the profit margin for the project.
To be successful in this key role, you must have;
- Bachelor of Engineering, Construction Management, Business or equivalent
- 2 years' experience in civil construction work, geotechnical construction an asset
- Eligible to work in Australia;
- Valid drivers license.
- Investigation and construction experience;
- Geotechnical Hazard/Slope Stability assessment experience is an asset;
- Project Management experience is an asset;
- Positive, can-do attitude;
- Excellent communication skills and personal organisation a must
- Proven record of safety, environment and quality risk management
